The first is a more formal drawing room with a roaring open fire, perfect for curling up with a good book, and the second is a more laid-back lounge with TV/DVD. There’s a flame-effect gas fire in this room, retaining that cosy atmosphere throughout. There’s also a handy bathroom with WC on this floor.

The kitchen is a bright and spacious room boasting a large, warming Aga, as well as a backup electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. Sit at the kitchen island and enjoy a morning cup of coffee, or head into the garden via the French doors. For a family dinner, the dining room is an excellent space to celebrate a family event or have a mere catch up. A feature fireplace and large windows with feature window seats add to the charm of the room. The utility room offers space to hang wet coats and muddy boots, as well as a handy washing machine.

Onto the first floor, the master double bedroom is the ideal space for a spot of privacy, possessing an en-suite with shower and WC, whilst a double bedroom and twin bedroom on this level share a family bathroom with hand-held shower over bath and WC, and shower room with WC. Completing the home is an exciting attic bedroom nestled in the eaves, with vaulted ceilings perfect for younger guests. This room features four single beds, its own bathroom and a TV, ideal for late-night sleepovers. This is accessible via the mezzanine landing – no mums and dads allowed!

The surrounding garden offers more than enough space to let your kids run off some steam, as well as a tennis court for perfecting your game during your stay (available April – September) – you’ll need to bring your own racquets. Make use of the lawn and play a game of croquet, whilst others dine at the outdoor furniture and enjoy the use of the BBQ.

Outside the property, you’ll find an outbuilding with rod box and drying room for damp clothes and shoes, as well as space to store fishing gear for those that need it.
