Roger McMichael, Stakeholder Manager for the Moray West project, will talk about the journey to install one of the world’s largest offshore wind clusters in the outer Moray Firth. From the Beatrice demonstration project which included a number of world first, the Beatrice Offshore Wind Farm became the largest in Scotland. Recently eclipsed by its neighbour Moray East with a capacity of 950 MW. Moray West is shovel ready with the plan to start construction next year.
Roger will explore some of the challenges in delivering these massive infrastructure projects together with a look ahead at what the new seabed leasing rounds will bring to Scottish waters and coastal communities.
