Overview
Covesea Lighthouse (Adam Stevenson) building commenced in 1844 and was commissioned in 1846. It was decommissioned in 2012 and is now in community ownership where the volunteers manage the estate keeping the Tower accessible for guided tours and the cottages available for holiday makers.
The Royal Navy & Royal Air Force Heritage Centre provides information on Lossiemouth air operations from the early pre-war days with the RAF, Navy days from 1946-73 to the current times with the airfield back under RAF control.
