The Lodge Duffus Estate

Overview

The Lodge on Duffus Estate is nestled at the gates of Duffus House, surrounded by trees and open fields and a host of wildlife. We welcome up to 2 well behaved dogs and you are invited to explore the network of paths across the Estate.

The Lodge, or to give it its official name of Duffus Estate House Lodge, is the traditional gate lodge of Duffus House, the historic family seat of the Dunbar’s of Northfield and which was leased to the famous Gordonstoun School for 82 years. It is a traditional, single storey, stone-built property complete with its own garage and fenced back garden.

The property has a good sized, south facing double bedroom complete with king sized bed and a smaller single bedroom facing west. The sitting room has beautiful wood burning stove, ideal for cosy evenings in front of the fire. We provide you with complimentary logs from the Estate for use in the stove or in the fire bowl provided in the garden.

There is a separate utility and kitchen and a recently renovated, modern bathroom.

Nearby there is also Cabin by the Castle, also on the Duffus Estate.
