5 en-suite bedrooms, award winning whisky and real ale bar, superb restaurant and great bar meals, situated in the centre of
the village of Craigellachie on the banks of the River Spey.
With 5 ensuite bedrooms; whisky bar; outdoor patio; lounge; a la carte restaurant (tremendous food in both the bar and the restaurant); and private, off-street parking, it truly is a great little place to stay when visiting this wonderful part of Scotland.
We are open all year, and have a warm, friendly and relaxing atmosphere; a really cosy, hospitable ‘home from home’.
The bedrooms have been refurbished and have new beds and bed linen, curtains and bedspreads, and the ensuite facilities have a ‘wet room’ with plumbed in power showers (as opposed to those ubiquitous electric showers!) and non slip flooring;
The rooms are well laid out and relaxing with:
~ Tea and coffee making facilities
~ Colour television and radio
~ ‘Black out’ curtains
~ Iron and ironing board
~ Wireless internet access
In our multi award winning bar, you’ll be delighted by the tremendous selection of single malt whiskies, the beer and lagers on draft ~ including 3 CAMRA recognised cask conditioned ales always available and the choice of other beers, lagers and spirits.
We also have one of the largest selections of Japanese whiskies available outside South East Asia!
At The Highlander Inn we are committed to ensure that one of Scotland’s greatest products and exports should be truly celebrated for it’s diversity, quality and it’s unique ability to bring people of all nations and creeds together in a sense of well-being and camaradarie. It really is ‘the water of life’.
Our selection of Single Malts, currently just over 200, are all personally selected for their diversity in terms of age, distillery, nose and taste. Add to this the atmosphere in the bar created by a real mixture of locals and visitors to the area, talking to each other and sharing experiences.
Surely this is the REAL way to experience and enjoy Single Malt Whisky?
