Overview

Failte is a stunning stone cottage centrally located in the charming fishing village of Portknockie on the beautiful Moray Firth coast. Presented to a very high standard with great attention to detail, this cottage provides a simply perfect holiday home for a large family or group of friends.

Oozing style and comfort, ‘Failte’ (meaning ‘welcome’ in Gaelic) has three superb bedrooms, with a beautiful super king-size double on the ground floor, complete with en-suite shower room and stone feature wall.

The upper floor has two further generously proportioned bedrooms, both benefiting from large bay windows, plus a cosy snug with a second TV and double sofa bed, providing that little extra bit of flexibility.

The spacious sitting room with its woodburning stove is ideal for relaxing in at the end of a busy day, and just a step up leads you to the very well-equipped kitchen, with quality kitchenware and a table for family dining.

From the kitchen guests can access a very private, south-facing patio area, just perfect for a quiet morning coffee or pre-dinner glass of wine, or why not relax in the 6-seater hot tub after a busy day out and about?

The storage shed to the side is well equipped with 1 set of golf clubs, beach accessories, BBQ fuel and deck chairs all for your use plus plenty room for your own items, bicycles etc. Portknockie has a pretty harbour with its own slipway, outdoor children’s pool and boasts good local services.

The Moray Firth coastline is quite dramatic, and the famous dolphins can be seen regularly as they pass by.

This east coast has many small fishing villages dotted along the edge of the sea, all well worth a visit.

For whisky lovers, it is easy to access the Malt Whisky Trail and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Visit nearby Cullen with its white sandy beach and popular links golf course.
