Moray Art Centre will be hosting FREE art workshops for children ages 8 – 12 from September through to February 2025! These workshops will be every Saturday from 10am until 1pm, with a break in October.
The classes will be led by Deborah Hart, a mixed media artist who has experience of delivering creative workshops and classes to a range of age groups and abilities.
Block 1
– Mark making – Animal/Creature Mask
– Negative space – Light/Dark, Charcoal/Chalk
– Sun Printing and Cyanotype or Mandalas
– Print making with Polystyrene
– Painting Sunflowers in Acrylic
– Watercolour Techniques and Watercolour Landscape
– Sculpting Animals/Creatures from Clay
– Painting Sculptures and Free Choice
Block 2
– Perspective – Design a Room
– Self Portrait – Collage
– Sketching People and Movement
– Sun Printing and Cyanotype or Mandalas
– Botanical Books
– Mixed Media
– Paper Art – Bugs and Insects
– The Art Club Exhibition
There will also be an opportunity to showcase your child’s creations in March at the end of block 2’s classes – anyone can drop in, bring the family!
