CLARA SOLA: It is said that Clara has “supernatural powers”. As an unknowing captive to her repressively religious mother, Clara lives a secluded life within the Costa Rican jungle. The arrival of an attractive younger man causes a sexual awakening within her resulting in a new sense of self-awareness. With the natural world finely tuned to Clara’s emotions, whilst she is renowned for her ability to heal, her sexual jealously releases devastation.

This enchanting and multi-award winning debut from Nathalie Álavarez Mesén’s is both daring and defiant with a bold vision drawing us into Clara’s mystical world.
