A community Burns Supper like never before!

Every year the 25th January is a time when we come together and share in each other’s company. However, with lockdown across Scotland continuing, it will not be possible for us to gather in person this time. It was with that realisation that we decided to create this online event to bring everyone together in celebration in spite of what is a difficult time for many of us.

The supper will be hosted by the Lord-Lieutenant of Moray Major General Seymour Monro and the address to the haggis will be made by Alan James, managing director of AJ Engineering and a deputy lord lieutenant of Moray. Participants will be able to either share in the community experience with their webcams on or leave them off as they choose.

The event is free, but give what you can afford

It’s free to book your ticket to the supper, but with a request that you make a donation toward the Moray Emergency Relief Fund. The Fund has been set up to help all those in the Moray Council area suffering severe hardship, illness or poverty as a result of the Coronavirus crisis. We suggest giving £10, but give whatever you can afford.

Programme

Prepare your own traditional dinner to be eaten at the suggested time in the programme or simply enjoy the entertainment around your own evening schedule. Raise your glass with everyone else on Zoom or leave your video off. The level of participation is up to you.
