About Sally:
Trained at the world- renowned Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee, Sally works mainly in watercolours and acrylics, but also with textiles, producing hand-painted silk scarves and hangings.
With a unique and colourful style, her favourite subjects include coastal, beach and mountain scenes, and also woodland, buildings and boats. Much of her artistic inspiration comes from the beautiful scenery and old townscapes of Scotland, especially around the Moray Firth, the North West Coast, and Fife, but also from two years living in Norway, painting the rugged mountain and fjord scenery, and colourful Norwegian buildings.
Whilst many of her works have been sold direct to buyers or were specially commissioned, Sally has shown and sold her art in galleries and other venues in London, Stavanger and around the north of Scotland, including Logie Steading, the Nairn Book and Arts Festival, a solo exhibition in Forres, and Boath House Hotel.
Sally’s originals and limited-edition signed prints have often gone to overseas buyers, and she has an extensive range of fine-art cards featuring scenes taken from her originals. She also offers art tuition in her studio in Auldearn.
Exhibition runs from 1st October to 1st November
