We are delighted to welcome Alex to Logie Steading Art Gallery.
Alex is a graduate of Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art where he specialised in illustration. He produced paintings and drawings for publishing company DC Thomson and worked as a graphic designer for several years before entering the teaching profession where he was Principal Teacher of Art & Design and then Depute head Teacher at Elgin Academy.
Alex now paints full time using a variety of media including pastels, oils and acrylics. His work has sold in many countries receiving commissions for paintings from Europe, Australia and the USA.
The exhibits will be a selection of two year’s work including still-life, landscapes (large and small from local areas and the West coast), animal portraits and a selection of Venice paintings. Some images are on large canvases which is a bit of a departure from the norm. All are new paintings.
