This year 2022, the ever-popular 1940’s weekend will be held on the 18th and 19th of June. Both Keith Town and Dufftown stations will take on a 1940’s wartime look.
There will be many exhibits including shops with war-time memorabilia and live demonstrations of old-time farm machinery. Land-girls, Lumberjacks & Jills will all be there to show you how we fought the war on the Home Front.
These were the heroes who worked tirelessly in all weathers to maintain supplies of food and fuel. Other re-enactors will display various military vehicles from the period. Interesting talks on both British and German military equipment and kit will be given aboard the trains. But look out! There might be Spivs and enemy spies on board! Will they be able to avoid the attentions of our Special Secret Service agent?
