The Farm Steading is an attractive converted stone-built barn and was originally part of the Aberlour Orphanage which opened in 1862.
Located in Aberlour, a small village on the banks of the River Spey in the Scottish Highlands it is at the heart of malt whisky country with many of the world’s best known distilleries in and around the village or just a few miles away.
The property is furnished to a high standard with excellent facilities throughout and offers superb self catering accommodation for up to 5 people in 2 bedrooms with an additional fold-up bed when required. Available at any time of the year for short breaks or longer holidays, the Farm Steading is south facing and overlooks a small courtyard and is personally managed by the owners, Rachel and Ian Roger.
Surrounded by breathtaking scenery, the local area is excellent for bird watching, with woodland and hill walking right on the doorstep.
Aberlour is a good base for skiing and snowboarding with the Lecht ski area being excellent for beginners and the renowned Cairngorm Mountain slopes offering challenging skiing for all abilities. There is a good selection of country shops and quality restaurants around the area and great opportunities for those wishing to participate in a wide range of outdoor activities and sports.
